McDonald's to sell Russian business to licensee Alexander Govor
MOSCOW, May 19 (PRIME) -- McDonald's will sell the Russian business to current licensee Alexander Govor, who will manage the restaurant chain under a new brand, the company said in a statement on Thursday.
Govor, owner of company GiD, manages 25 McDonald's outlets in the Siberian cities of Novosibirsk, Berdsk, Tomsk, Kemerovo, Novokuznetsk, Barnaul and Krasnoyarsk.
Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov said that the ministry will provide necessary help to the Russian owners of the assets in order to restart the operations.
